Rashid Khan plays BBL match in honour of his late father, picks up two wickets

Kabul, Dec 31 (IBNS): Star Afghani bowler Rashid Khan played for the Adelaide Strikers in a BBL match against Sydney Thunder and paid tribute to his late father.

He passed away recently.

Rashid earlier announced the news of his father's demise on Twitter.

He wrote:"Today I lost the most important person in my life,father-the everlasting candle.Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Now I know why u always asked me to be strong,bcz u knew that today I would need the strength to bear your loss.Will be always in myI miss u #plztalktomeOnce."

In the match, Rashid shined as he picked up two wickets for his side.

Khan picked up the wickets of Thunder duo Jason Sangha and Daniel Sams to finish with the figure of 2-34.

Adelaide Strikers won the match by 20 runs.
