Sydney, Jan 3 (IBNS): The 18th Test century of Cheteshwar Pujara placed India in the driver's seat right on day one of the fourth and final Test match against Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground here on Thursday.

This is Pujara's third century in the ongoing four-match Test series, which is currently tilted towards India.

At stumps, India scored 303/4 with Pujara still batting at 130.

Along with Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, who played some terrific shots on Thursday, is not out at 39.

Earlier, Mayank Agarwal scored 77, giving India a boost after the visitors lost KL Rahul early in the day.

Australia's Josh Hazlewood picked two wickets for 51 in 20 overs.

Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon shared one wicket each.
