Sydney, Jan 11 (IBNS): Displaying some strong performance in the domestic T20 league or BBL, Peter Siddle has earned a position in the first ODI squad to play against India in Sydney.
Captain Aaron Finch confirmed the squad for the match.
Siddle with join Jhye Richardson, Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Lyon as the four specialist bowlers in the XI.
Finch will join gloveman Alex Carey in the top order.
Usman Khawaja will bat in the third position.
"It's just an opportunity to see Alex play in a position he's done quite bit in Big Bash and one-day cricket," Finch was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia when asked about Carey's promotion from No. 7 to opener.
"It's a position he's performed really well with in the last couple of years," he said.
"He's been shuffled around the order a bit in the last little while trying to search for that process and right balance of the side and he'll get a good opportunity up there," he said.
