Mumbai, Feb 22 (IBNS): Chief of BCCI's Committee of Administrators, Vinod Rai, on Friday said the Indian Premier League will not have a regular oprening ceremony this year.
He said budget for the opening ceremony will be given to families of the victims of the terror attack in Pulwama.
"We'll not have a regular IPL opening ceremony and the amount of the budget for the opening ceremony will be given to families of the victims of this terror attack," Rai told media.
The Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Feb 14 left 40 CRPF jawans killed.
The incident left India shocked and leaders across party lines condemned it.
India has blamed Pakistan for the incident.
