Aaron Finch sets new record during T20 I match against Zimbabwe

Harare, July 3 (IBNS): Australian cricketer Aaron Finch on Tuesday broke his own record to set new individual score in T20 International match against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Finch smashed a gallant 76-ball 172 runs in his innings.

He hammered 16 boundaries and 10 sixes in hs innings.

Finch's heroic knock helped Australia post mammoth 229 runs for the loss of two wickets.

D'Arcy Short scored 46 runs off 42 balls and joined Finch is scoring 223 runs in the first wicket partnership.

This was for the first time that Australia registered another history when the openers produced a 200-run partnership in the shortest format of the game.

Muzarabani picked up two wickets for the African side.

In return, Zimbabwe scored 129 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

Solomon Mire remained the top scorer for Zimbabwe with his 28 runs knock.
