CSK thrash RCB to reach IPL final

Ranchi, May 22 (IBNS): In MS Dhoni's home turf Ranchi, Chennai Super Kings snatched a 1-ball thriller as the side defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by three wickets to reach the final of the IPL on Friday.

CSK will face Mumbai Indians in the final of the cash-rich tournament as the side will be eyeing to  clinch the third title.

Restricting RCB at 139 for eight, CSK reached 140 runs by losing seven wickets with 1 ball to spare.

Mike Hussey remained the top scorer for CSK with his 56 runs while MS Dhoni made a crucial contribution of 26 runs.

Dhoni nearly guided his side to victory but was dismissed in the last over by

Harshal Patel to make situations tough got CSK at the end.

With both the sides tied at 139, R Ashwin (1*) and Ravindra Jadeja (0*) managed the last run needed to win the match. 

Chris Gayle smashed 41 runs as he helped RCB post 139 runs on the scorecard.
