CWG: Para-lifter Sachin wins bronze

Gold Coast, Apr 10 (IBNS): Adding one more medal to India's medal tally, para-lifter Sachin Chaudhary won bronze medal in the  men's heavyweight category at the ongoing Commonwealth Games here on Tuesday.

In his way to winning the medal, the Indian athlete lifted a combined effort of 181 points. 

Nigeria's Abdulazeez Ibrahim won the gold while the silver medal went to  Malaysia's Yee Khie Jong.

Congratulating him, Indian President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted: "Congratulations Sachin Chaudhary for winning Bronze medal in Men's Heavyweight Para-powerlifting event at #GC2018 #PresidentKovind."
