Ex-cricketers slam India over test series defeat

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS): Former cricketers of both India and England criticised India for their poor show against the home side and losing the series 3-1 on Sunday.

Former Indian captain  Bishen Singh Bedi tweeted: "I'm constrained 2 remark--rejoice all ye IPL s******,U've got what U wanted, destruction of India's Test standing....!!

Former cricketer Sanjay Manjarekar posted on her Twitter page: "In SA it was just pace & bounce. In Eng there was swing too. That did the Ind batsmen in."

Former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner and cricket administrator Lalit Modi tweteed: " Pathetic performance by our team in England. Doubt anyone will take responsibility - so many people messaging to say what's going on."

Former England captain

Michael Vaughan said: "Indian cricket fans just accept it's banter.... Your team haven't performed.. #Fact."

"Slight Concern... I seem to be trending in India....!!! #3-1. Note to all England players... No dropping of your draws and watering the Oval pitch tonight please... #3-1," he said.

Ex- cricketer Alec Stewart tweeted: "Brilliant comeback from England to win 3-1. Grit & determination from Cook & the players. The makings of a good team to win back the ashes.England managed to turn things around after hitting rock bottom at Lords while India owe their fans serious answers after those performances."

England defeated India by an innings and 244 runs int he fifth and final match to clinch the series 3-1.
