First Test: India win toss, elect to bat first against Australia

Adelaide/IBNS: Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in the maiden Test match against Australia at Adelaide Oval here on Thursday.

India are playing with four bowlers including spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

Among the three pacers are Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav.

Kohli, who is soon to become a parent, will leave for his country after the first Test.
