India-Australia first T20I clash in Brisbane today

| @indiablooms | Nov 21, 2018, at 10:58 am

Brisbane, Nov 21 (IBNS): India will begin their campaign in Australia on Wednesday with the first T20I match which will be played at The Gabba here.

India will play three T20I matches against Australia.

The men-in-blue is buoyant with confidence after defeating Windies in recently concluded T20I series back home.

Australia, in absence of Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, are bit disjointed compared to other times when they took on India. Smith, Warner and Bancroft were banned over the ball-tampering case, which had rocked the Australian cricket early this year.

India, under the leadership of skipper Virat Kohli, are looking to clinch victory in the Australian soil.

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will miss the series as he has been dropped from the side.

India have announced their 12-member team for the first T20I.

India's 12-member squad: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal.
