India beat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in final match, clinch series 3-0

Ranchi/IBNS: India won the three-Test series against South Africa by 3-0 margin after the hosts defeated the visitors by an innings and 202 runs in the final match here on Tuesday.

India just needed two wickets on Tuesday morning to complete the whitewash.

India just took 12 balls on the final day to wrap up the series.

It was India's first ever whitewash against South Africa.

On Monday, South Africa commenced their day's play at 9/2 after India declared at 497/9.

Piedt (23) and Linde (27) remained the top scorers for South Africa in the final innings of the third Test.

Indian bowlers completely dominated the proceedings and did not give the opponents a chance to recover in the match.

Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets for India.
