India beat Spain 3-0 in Tokyo Olympics Hockey Pool A clash

Tokyo: India defeated Spain 3-0 in men's hockey clash of the Tokyo Olympics here on Tuesday.

India bounced back after Australia beat Men in Blue by 7-1 margin in their second clash.

Simranjeet Singh (14th minute) and Rupinder Pal Singh (15th and 51st) scored the three goals to register victory against the world number 9.

This was India's third Pool A match.

In the first match, India had defeated New Zealand.

Spain is still not successful to register a victory in the Olympic clash so far in the Tokyo edition of the tournament.

India will next face reigning Olympic champions Argentina.
