London, Sept 7 (IBNS): After losing all hope to clinch the Test series against England, India will strive to finish the competition on a high by winning the fifth and last match, which will begin at the Oval here on Friday.

England have taken an unassailable 3-1 lead over India.

India have won only the third Test match in the series.

Despite taking 21-run lead int the first innings, India failed to save the fourth Test and the series as they were defeated by a spirited England by 60 runs.

The performance of the Indian batting order excluding skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara has come under the scanner.

Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara are the only Indian batsmen to slam centuries in the series.

The first day's play of the fifth Test match will begin at 3:30 pm IST.
