Manchester, Jun 27 (UNI) India won the toss and opted to bat against West Indies in the World Cup match here at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Virat Kohli-led India has made no changes in their team for this match.

West Indies made two changes in the team with Sunil Ambris and Fabian Allen replacing Lewis and Nurse respectively.

India, who are the only unbeaten team in the ongoing World Cup have won four out of five matches with one abandoned due to rain, need two more wins in four matches to seal a semi-final berth.

The West Indies, on the other hand, have won just one match and lost four, besides a washed out meeting with South Africa. They need to win all their remaining games, in order to remain in contention for the semi-finals.

West Indies have been hurt by Andre Russell’s withdrawal from the squad due to a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli will need to score 37 runs in order to become the fastest batsman to score 20,000 international runs.

Kohli currently has 19,963 runs to his name and is just 37 runs short of the record that legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar holds along with West Indies great Brian Lara.

Playing XI:

West Indies- Chris Gayle, Sunil Ambris, Shai Hope(w), Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder(c), Carlos Brathwaite, Fabian Allen, Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas
