Sydney/IBNS: Indian fast bowler Navdeep Saini is set to make debut in the third Test against Australia as the playing XI of Ajinkya Rahane's team was announced on Wednesday.

India will be playing four bowlers and an all-rounder in the match.

India's vice captain Rohit Sharma is returning to the side after recovering from an injury.

Indian right-handed batsman KL Rahul has already been ruled out of the rest of the series owing to an injury in his left wrist, in a blow to Team India.

Earlier, five Indian players including vice captain Sharma were embroiled in a controversy for breaking biobubble norms for Covid-19 by dining at a restaurant.

However, the entire Indian team including their support staff have tested negative for the deadly virus.

The Test series is even positioned at 1-1.
