INDvENG: Jasprit Bumrah gives India much-needed breakthrough against England

Visakhatpatnam/IBNS: India's premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah provided the much needed breakthrough after England remained firm in the run chase despite losing seventh wicket following their 'Bazball cricket' model on the fourth day of second Test in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

Chasing 399, India scalped quick wickets post lunch but English batters- Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley- remained firm and counter-attacked to keep the visitors alive in the run chase.

Bumrah dismissed Foakes for 36 off 69 balls.

Though Zak Crawley (73 off 132 balls) and Ollie Pope (23 off 21 balls) were looking ominous for the hosts earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma took a stunner off Ravichandran Ashwin's ball which saw the latter sent packing.

Joe Root counter-attacked following the 'Bazball' cricket but his aggression was short lived as Ashwin showed the exit route.

While Crawley was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav, Jonny Bairstow was sent back to the pavilion by first innings star and premier bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

England are leading the five-match Test series 1-0.
