IPL 2020 Final: Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets, win 5th title

Dubai/UNI: Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final to claim their fifth IPL title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, here on Tuesday.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant struck impressive fifties to propel DC to 156/7 in 20 overs.

Iyer remained unbeaten on 65 off 50 balls while Pant smashed 56 off 38 balls.

Trent Boult 3-20, Nathan Coulter-Nile 2-29 and Jayant Yadav 1/25 were the wicket-takers for Mumbai Indians.

In reply, Mumbai Indians chased down the target of 157 with 5 wickets in hands and 1.2 overs to spare.

Rohit Sharma played captains knock (68 off 51) and guided MI to the historic fifth IPL title.
