IPL player auction: MI retain Kieron Pollard, RR get Ben Stokes

Bengaluru, Jan 27 (IBNS): Windies player Kieron Pollard has been retained by Mumbai Indians while Rajasthan Royals bought English all rounder Ben Stokes at the player auction for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League here on Saturday.

Pollard has been retained at 5.40 cr while RR bought Stokes at 12.50 crore.

Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad at 5.20 crore.

Kings XI Punjab bought Indian all rounder Ravichandran Ashwin at 7.60 crore.

South African skipper Faf du Plessis has been retained by Chennai Super Kings at 1.60 crore.

Rajasthan Royals retained Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane at a price of 4 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders bought Australian pacer Mitchell Starc at 9.4 crore.

Each franchise can use their Right To Match (RTM) to retain the marquee players.
