IPL: Shikhar Dhawan pips Rohit Sharma to become highest run-getter against single rival

Mumbai: Shikhar Dhawan became No. 1 batsman to score the runs against a single rival in the Indian Premier League, surpassing Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma's record.

The Punjab Kings batsman has scored a total of 1029 runs against Chennai Super Kings and Rohit got 1018 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders.

David Warner is placed third in the caveated list with 1005 runs against Punjab Kings.

Dhawan achieved this feat in a match against Chennai at Wankhede Stadium during his 59-ball unbeaten 88 runs, an innings that helped Punjab register a total of 187 for 4 and win the match on Monday.
