IPL: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat RCB

Hyderabad, May 20 (IBNS): Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by seven wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Tuesday.

Chasing RCB's 160 for six, Hyderabad reached 161 by losing three wickets in 19.4 overs.

David Warner's (59) role as opener suited him well as he along with Shikhar Dhawan (50) gave Hyderabad a solid start by adding 100 runs  in the first wicket partnership.

Warner smashed three boundaries and four sixes in his 46-ball knock.

Both the openers were out within 17th over and after Naman Ojha (24) departed the task of helping Hyderabad to the target rested on

Aaron Finch  and skipper Dareen Sammy.

Finch (11*) and Sammy (10*) won the match for Hyderabad.

Despite losing the first match, Sammy, who was leading the side only for the second time in the tournament, was successful in registering first victory for his side.

Varun Aaron picked up two wickets for RCB.

Earlier, RCB posted 160 for six in their 20 overs.

Skipper Virat Kohli top scored for the side with his ruthless 41-ball 67. He smashed four boundaries and four sixes in his knock.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up two wickets for Hyderabad.
