IPTL tickets go on sale tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IBNS) International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) franchise Micromax Indian Aces on Thursday announced that online ticket sales for the Delhi leg of the inaugural IPTL will start on Friday.

The tournament  will give thousands of tennis lovers in India an opportunity to watch tennis’ most iconic stars live for the first time in the country.

IPTL tickets for New Delhi will be available for sale through the Aces’ official online ticketing partner www.bookmyshow.com.

Tickets will be released in phases; with close to 6,000 tickets available for sale, across price categories, during Phase 1.

Icon player Roger Federer, 14 time Grand Slam Champion Pete Sampras, teammates Gael Monfils,  Ana Ivanovic, Fabrice Santoro, and Indian greats Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will make up the  formidable Indian squad and take on the Manila Mavericks, UAE Royals, and Singapore Slammers during the three day event.

Other top stars that will play in New Delhi include Novak Djokovic, Caroline Wozniacki, Eugenie Bouchard,  Goran Ivanisevic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Daniela Hantuchova, Tomas Berdych, Lleyton Hewitt, Carlos Moya, Patrick Rafter, Kirsten Flipkens and Nenad Zimonjic.

During the 3 day event (December 6, 7 and 8, 2014), at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, sports  fans will get to see two matches a day, first at 4:00 pm and second match starting at 7:30 pm.

"Each  ticket will allow spectators to watch the 3-day action, and the price is inclusive of all taxes and convenience  fee. The indoor stadium, with its 15,000 plus seating capacity, is the largest indoor sports arena in India and the third-largest in Asia," read the iptlworld.com website.

Fans purchasing tickets will receive 3 individual day tickets, which they can share with friends or family during the three-day period. Tickets for the Category-3 seats start from as low as Rs. 3,240 as part of a  conscious and sensitive pricing strategy to make this event accessible to as many fans as possible, encourage more players to take up tennis, and help develop the sport in India.

 Tickets for the Premium Seats - On Court (North and South) and Premium Seats - Off Court (North, South, East, West, North West) are priced at Rs. 49,680 and Rs. 29,160 respectively giving spectators a  unique opportunity to catch their tennis starts up close.

Category 1 seats are priced at Rs. 25,920 (South- Cushion Seats), Rs. 22,680 (North), Rs. 19,440 (East  and West), Rs. 19,440 (South West – Cushion Seats), and Rs. 16,200 (North West, South East, and South  West – Plastic Seats).

Category 2 seats are priced at Rs. 22,680 (South – Cushion Seats), Rs. 19,440 (North and South – Plastic  Seats), Rs. 16,200 (East and West), Rs.16,200 (South West – Cushion Seats), and Rs. 12,960 (North  West, South East, and South West – Plastic Seats).

Category 3 seats are priced at Rs.3,240, (South, West, North West, South East, and South West). The IPTL will come to India after charming tennis fans in the Philippines and Singapore. From New Delhi,  the USD 1 million prize money League will travel to Dubai for its final leg from December 11 to 13, 2014.
