Ravindra Jadeja scalped five wickets and the opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered an unbeaten 214 runs to help India beat England by a mammoth 434 runs in the third Test to take 2-1 lead in the series at Rajkot on Sunday.

This is the first time India won by a margin of over 400 runs.

Set a tough target of 557 runs for victory, England's batting lineup collapsed in front of the Indian bowling attack which was led by Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav.

England were bowled out for 122 runs in their fourth innings with only Mark Wood at the end contributing 33 runs and trying to delay the defeat.

No other batsmen could cross the 20-run mark.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who took an emergency break from the match midway, returned and scalped a wicket.

Jadeja remained the most brutal of the Indian bowling lineup as he picked up five wickets by giving away 41 runs.

Bumrah added two more wickets which helped the home side to crush the opponent that commenced their series journey with a victory in the first Test.

India scored 445 runs in the first innings and 430 runs for the loss four wickets in the second innings on the same pitch where the British cricketers struggled.

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal left the audience charmed and gave tough times to the opponent as he smashed his second double-century in successive Tests during Day 4 of the ongoing match against visiting England in Rajkot on Sunday.

Jaiswal sizzler

Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 214 runs with his willow.

He hit fourteen boundaries and twelve sixes in his sizzling knock.

Jaiswal returned to devastate English bowlers just a day after he battled back spasms.

With Sunday's show, Jaiswal became the second Indian left-handed batsman to score two-back-to-back double centuries in Tests.

Earlier, Vinod Kambli had achieved a similar record in 1993 in Test match.

India declared the second innings 430 runs for the loss of four wickets.
