Kolkata hosting junior tennis tournament

Kolkata, Sept 8 (IBNS): A higher grade of junior tournament under the All India Tennis Association, the Championship Series, started off at the synthetic courts of the Calcutta South Club Ltd from on Saturday. 

The tournament will be held for the age group of Under 14 only and it has already attracted entries from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telengana, Maharashtra, Assam, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Chattisgarh and the host state West Bengal.

Almost all the top 8 seeds in the Girls Under 14 qualifying round entered the Main Draw, which will start from Monday.
