Lake Point Convent, DPS, Ashok Hall excelled in 49th All India Invitation School Regatta

Kolkata/IBNS: Shibam Deb and Debam Deb of Lake Point Convent pot up a fine show winning all the three races of the round robin league in the Senior Boys Pairs event of the 49th All India Invitation School Regatta at Lake Club course of Rabinfra Sarovar Lake here on Wednesday.

After beating their rivals from Andrews High School and National High School, Deb brothers  disposed of the challenge from Kali Dhan Institute easily.

Similarly Delhi Public School (DPS) Junior Girls Four team consisting of Sumedha Ghosh, Bisaja Chakraborty, Sayantika Bhowmik and Oindrila Paul displayed their skill as they beat teams from BSS School and Future Hope School.

Sumedha and Bisaja earlier in the morning also defeated their opponents from Future Hope School in Paris event.

The senior Girls rowers from Ashok Hall Girls High School, Ritsika Das, Shriya Laha, Riddhi Patwari and Bhaswati Kolay, also did well to win both the hits against Modern High School and South Point High school.

They apart South Point High School and Modern High School, both of which had earned many medals in school rowing earlier, also performed well.
