Lynn scores half century as KKR post 159/8 against Sunrisers Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Apr 21 (IBNS): Chris Lynn batted sensibly as Kolkata Knight Riders managed to score 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in a crucial India Premier League contest against Sunrisers Hyderabad here on Sunday.

Sunrisers won the toss and opted to field first.

KKR, playing without Robin Uthappa and Kuldeep Yadav, started the innings with Sunil Narine and Lynn.

Narine looked promising and hit some shots outside the park in his 8-ball 25.

He hammered three boundaries and two sixes in his innings.

Lynn scored 47-ball 51 and provided the much needed start to KKR.

However, KKR lost wickets at regular intervals and a slow batting int he middle could help the side post as much run as was expected from them.

Dinesh Karthik (6), S Gill (3), Andre Russell (15) could not contribute as much as was expected from them.
