Mohammad Amir to play for English side Essex

London, June 20 (IBNS): His gutsy bowling helped Pakistan clinch ther ICC Champion Trophy and now pacer Mohammad Amir will feature for English club Essex for the remainder of the season.

The club has welcomed the pacer.

"The pace bowler will feature for Essex for the remainder of the season and was warmly welcomed to the Club by the Chelmsford crowd during the Tea interval on Day One against Warwickshire," the country said in a statement.

Mohammad Amir will feature in the NatWest T20 Blast.

Pakistan beat India by 180 runs to clinch the trophy.

The young pacer played a crucial role in Pakistan's trophy victory in Sunday's clash.
