Now Sachin Tendulkar delivers his speech on social media, highlights need for developing sporting culture in India

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS): Amid chaos in the Parliament, Indian sporting icon Sachin Tendulkar could not speak in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday and hence on Friday he expressed his feelings on social media.

Sachin Tendulkar posted a video on social media where he urged people to turn the country into a sport playing nation.

Tendulkar said he wants to see the nation transform into a 'healthy and fit India'.

"Our fitness sessions are declining while our food sessions are on the rise, we should change this habit," he said.

He said: "We need to transform India from a sport loving nation to a sport playing nation."

He also highlighted the troubles of diabetes and obesity problem faced by India.

He also appreciated north-east part of India for its sporting culture.

The former Indian captain said :"The North-East of India, which has only 4 per cent population of India, has a vibrant sporting culture.”

Tendulkar also captioned the video as: "It is my endeavour to transform India from being a sport loving nation to a sport playing nation. I urge you all to participate in this effort and help make my dream, our dream. Always remember, dreams do come true! Jai Hind."
