Punjab CM offers the post of DSP to Indian cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur
Chandigarh, July 24 (IBNS): After a dream performance in the World Cup, Indian cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur was offered the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday.
Though India lost a close game against England in the final, the women in blue were outstanding at different stages of the tournament.
The Punjab CM offered the post of DSP on Twitter, where he said: "Proud of @ImHarmanpreet, they gave an excellent fight to England in
the World Cup final, would be happy to appoint her DSP if she desires."

Kaur had an outstanding unbeaten 171 runs innings from just 115 balls in the semifinal against Australia, which avoured India to reach the
final.
In one of his early tweets, the CM said: "My govt will review sports policy to accommodate sportspersons like ImHarmanpreet in govt jobs,
committed to promoting their interests."

Kaur even played an appreciable knock of 51 runs from 80 balls in a crisis situation of the final match. However, India ultimately failed
to cross the line.
India lost the match to England by nine runs, which shattered their dream of lifting the maiden World Cup. Capt. Amarinder even announced Rs. five lakh to the cricketer from his soil, Harmanpreet Kaur.

said in the first tweet posted yesterday for Kaur.
