Rohit and Sarda tied at the top at the RCGC Juniors 2016
Rohit shot two birdies on the 1st and the 15th holes of the golf course but dropped seven bogeys on an up and down day for the youngster. Yashvardhan was steadier in his approach as despite not gaining any strokes, he limited the damage to five bogeys.
Udayjit Bhalotia is placed third two strokes behind at 78 followed by Armaan Parikh a further stroke behind. Abhikanks Basu, who leads Category B, is tied with Gurshaan Singh Grewal and Kushay Kejriwal in fifth place after shooting 80.
Aditesh Bajaj is placed second in Category B at 84 followed by Pratham Choudhary of Tatanagar a further nine strokes behind.
The familiar faces of Joysurjo Dey and Kaushal Bagrodia occupy the top two places of Category C with rounds of 83 and 85 respectively.
Biren Kumar follows tied in third with Suveer Kapoor a further stroke behind in 86.
Manhar Bajoria carded an 80 to lead Guhrmehr Bindra in Category D by three strokes followed by Maitreya Milan Saikia a further five strokes behind at 88.
Category E is led by Anshul Mishra at 41 followed by Vinayak Vora in second and Lakshya Agarwal in third tied with Prashant Agarwal and Somprit Das.
In the Girls’ events, Chitrangada Singh (80) looks like the favourite to win the Category A&B and Category B titles as she enjoys a healthy six stroke lead over Aashera Sethi followed by Shushnata Deb a further three strokes behind at 89.
Vibha Nath leads Category C after carding a 90 while at 95, Karishma Samadder and Sinjini Mukherjee are locked at the top of Category D.
