Rohit Sharma touches unique record against Australia during World Cup match

London, June 9 (IBNS): In a crucial group stage match of the World Cup, Indian opener Rohit Sharma touched another record as he became the fastest batsman to score 2000 runs against the 'Men in Yellow' in ODI history.

Rohit Shahrma, who is known for his quick-fire knocks, became the fourth batsman to score 2000-plus runs against the World Cup champions.

Rohit Sharma needed to score just 18 runs to reach the milestone in his career.

Sharma scored 57 in the match before he was dismissed by Coulter-Nile.

He hit three boundaries and a six in the innings.
