Sachin Tendulkar, other ex-cricketers congratulate Bangladesh after victory against Australia

Dhaka, Aug 30 (IBNS): Former cricketers, including India's Sachin Tendulkar, appreciated Bangladesh and its cricketers for their 20 runs victory against Australia in the first Test match of the series here on Wednesday.

Sachin tweeted: "2 upsets in 2 days! Inspiring performance by @BCBtigers! Test cricket is thriving #BANvAUS."

Former Australia skipper, under whose leadership the side won the World Cup in 2015, congratulated Bangladesh and tweeted: "Congratulations Bangladesh didn't think I would be writing this tweet but you need to give credit where credit is due. #testcricket."

Former Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardena posted: "Well played @BCBtigers on historical test win. Very good test match. ."

Another ex-Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold‏ greeted by saying: "Very well done @BCBtigers #BANvAUS Congratulations on a brilliant test win and a hard fought one at that. extremely happy for you !!!."

Bangladesh created history as they defeated Australia in a Test match for the first time.

Australia is touring Bangladesh after a long period of time.
