Second Test: After bowling out India for 242, NZ score 63/0 at stumps on day 1

Christchurch/IBNS: After bowling out India for 242, New Zealand scored 63/0 in the first innings at stumps on day one of the second Test match here on Saturday.

Tom Blundell and Tom Latham, the two openers, are unbeaten at 29 and 27 runs respectively.

Earlier New Zealand bowling unit dismissed India cheaply for 242.

Hanuma Vihari was the top scorer for India with his 55-run innings.

Both Prithvi Shaw and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 54.

New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson picked five wickets, including the ones of Shaw and Pujara, for 45 runs.

Tim Southee and Trent Boult picked two wickets each while Neil Wagner clinched one wicket.
