Shahid Afridi smashes memorable 101 runs in Twenty20 Blast quarter-finals

London, Aug 23 (IBNS): Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi played a devastating knock of 101 off only 43 balls in a country match between Hampshire and Derbyshire.

Afridi was playing for Hampshire.

Hampshire defeated opponents by 101 runs in the Twenty20 Blast quarter-finals.

Afridi played some monstrous blows as he smashed  seven sixes and 10 fours in his memorable knock.

Riding on the century by Afridi, Hampshire scored 249 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

Derbyshire were bowled out for 148 runs.

Afridi's century became the  fastest in the 2017 T20 Blast.

He moved past 45-ball centuries made by Worcestershire's Joe Clarke and Nottinghamshire's Alex Hales to set his own record on the park.

Afridi opened the batting for Hampshire in the match.
