Sultan Azlan Shah Cup: Australia beat India 3-1

Ipoh, May 2 (IBNS): Australia defeated India in a Sultan Azlan Shah Cup encounter here on Tuesday.

Australia defeated India 3-1.

This was India's first defeat in the tournament this year.

Harmanpreet Singh scored for India in the 26th minute to give India early 1-0 lead.

In the 30th minute, Eddie Ockenden leveled the score 1-1.

Australia kept India under pressure by attacking the Asian side.

Tom Craig (34) and Tom Wickham (51) scored the other two goals for Australia to hand India their first defeat in the clash.

India earlier, drew with Britain and then went ahead to defeat New Zealand in other clash.
