Three day wushu workshop in Kamrup district ignites sporting potential

A three-day Wushu and judging workshop recently took place in Boko, Kamrup district. Organized by the Kamrup District Wushu Association the workshop aimed to equip 35 trainees from Kamrup and Goalpara districts with essential skills and knowledge.

Presided over by Imtiaz Ahmed, Secretary of the Assam Sports Journalists Association, the event stressed the values of discipline, dedication, and determination for achieving success in the sport, reported EastMojo.

The workshop, a first of its kind in Kamrup district, featured renowned national judge Rakchen Marak and national coach Gopi Singh Lama as instructors.

Topics covered included game-winning strategies, rules, and regulations, particularly beneficial for trainees from rural areas.

Notable personalities, including Vice-Chairman Ramakanta Rabha of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council and Executive Members Sumit Rabha and Aditya Rabha, graced the closing ceremony, making it a resounding success in fostering the potential of aspiring athletes for national and international achievements.
