Will try to put in performances that help team: Virat Kohli ahead of India-New Zealand 2nd Test

Mumbai/IBNS: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who is set to return to the national team in the second India-New Zealand second Test after rest, exuded confidence and spoke about relying on planning and execution while taking the field.

Talking about his performance in Mumbai where the second Test will be played, Kohli said, "Well I really enjoy playing at the Wankhede. That's a ground where I always had happy memories. More than that, it's the impact one leaves..."

"... Personally for me, as an individual, the personal analysis on my game has been whether I have committed a mistake, what the situation was like, how can I improve or get better. That is something I will continue to strive to do. I will try to put in the performances that will help the team in any way that I can," he added.

Kohli's bigger job as a captain will be to drop anyone between Mayank Agarwal, in-form Shreyas Iyer and vice captain Ajinkya Rahane to allow himself to return to the squad in the second match, which will begin on Friday.

While Agarwal and Rahane are out of form, Iyer slammed a hundred and a fifty in the two innings of first Test played in Kanpur.
