WTA rankings: Angelique Kerber continues dominance

Madrid, June 12 (IBNS): German tennis player Angelique Kerber continued her dominance in the WTA rankings despite her poor show in the French Open this year.

As per the latest rankings list released on Monday, she is holding the number one position.

Angelique Kerber  currently has 7035 points.

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko reached the 12th spot, by moving up 35 places.

Jelena Ostapenko won the French Open women's singles title on Sunday.

Romanian Simona Halep, who is the runners up in the current French Open, is standing at the second spot.

US star Serena Williams has dropped to the fourth position.
