Over 99 percent of demonetised currency returned: RBI

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IBNS): The Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday said that more than 99 percent of the old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, which were banned by the Centre in 2016, have returned.

Banks, post offices can deposit junk notes for a month with RBI

New Delhi, June 21 (IBNS) : The Government has allowed banks and post offices to deposit the demonetised Rs 500 and Rs1,000 currency notes with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) by July 20, reports said.
