Coal sector grows by 14.8% in June; highest in 8 core sectors

New Delhi: The coal sector showed the highest growth of 14.8% among the eight core industries in June 2024, according to the Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI) with a base year of 2011-12, released by the Ministry of Commerce & Industries.

India's Sept coal prodn grows 16% Y-o-Y to 67 MT

New Delhi: India produced 67.21million tonne (MT) of coal in September, surpassing the figures of 58.04 MT of the corresponding month in previous year, representing an increase of 15.81%. 

India’s Apr 2022 -Jan 2023 coal prodn jumps 16% y-o-y to 698.25 MT

New Delhi/IBNS: India’s coal production from April 2022 to January 2023 grew more than 16 percent with a production of 698.25 MT as compared to 601.97 MT in the same period the previous year, according to the Ministry of Coal.

Coal output touches 607.97 MT during Apr-Dec 2022

New Delhi/IBNS: India’s coal production increased by 16.39 percent to 607.97 MT during Apr-Dec’22 as compared to 522.34 MT produced during the same period of FY 22, the Ministry of Coal said Tuesday.

Total coal output up 11.66 pc in Nov to 75.87 MT

New Delhi: India’s total coal production increased by 11.66 percent to 75.87 Million Tons (MT) from 67.94 MT during November 2022 as compared to November 2021, the Ministry of Coal said Tuesday.

Coal prodn increases 17.3 pc to 524.20 MT in Apr-Nov period

New Delhi/IBNS: India’s coal production increased impressively by 17.13 percent to 524.20 Million Ton (MT) during April –November 2022 as compared to 447.54 MT production during the same period of the previous year, the Ministry of Coal said Friday.
