Indian sugar mills reduce exports amid falling prices, strengthening rupee: Report

Mumbai/IBNS: The mill owners in India are deferring the signing of new sugar export contracts due to big differences between local and global rates triggered by decline in global prices and appreciation in the value of the rupee, Reuters reported.

India's sugar production increases by 38.88 lac tons to 208.89 lac tons till Feb 15 in 2020-21 SS

Kolkata/IBNS: The sugar production by Indian sugar mills till Feb 15 in the 2020-21 Sugar Season (SS) increased by 38.88 lac tons to 208.89 lac tons as compared to 170.01 lac tons produced on the corresponding date of last year, according to Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA).
