New Delhi, Oct 2 (IBNS): Greenpeace India has termed the Indian government’s climate targets (INDC) of 40% electricity from non-fossil fuel sources, and 33-35% emissions intensity reduction by 2030 as ‘steps in the right direction’, but questioned the economic and social justification for a coal expansion of the scale envisioned. Greenpeace also supports India’s need for finance and technology assistance from developed countries.
