New York, June 5 (IBNS): One-in-five adults and 80 per cent of adolescents worldwide are not getting enough exercise, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), which on Monday launched a new action plan to tackle the situation and promote good health.

Countries in South-East Asia pledge action against noncommunicable diseases

Colombo, Sept 5 (IBNS): To arrest the growing epidemic of noncommunicable diseases that kill 8.5 million people annually in WHO South-East Asia Region, member countries of the region on Monday adopted the 'Colombo declaration' which calls for strengthening delivery of services for these diseases at the primary health care level.
