PETA calls on National Green Tribunal to ban 'manja' nationwide

New Delhi, Aug 10 (IBNS): People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India filed a petition yesterday afternoon, just before Independence Day, urging the National Green Tribunal to ban all forms of the sharp kite-flying strings called manja nationwide. As PETA India warns, manja – which is often coated with glass, metal, or other sharp objects – poses a lethal threat to humans and animals alike.
