Countries in South-East Asia pledge action against noncommunicable diseases

Colombo, Sept 5 (IBNS): To arrest the growing epidemic of noncommunicable diseases that kill 8.5 million people annually in WHO South-East Asia Region, member countries of the region on Monday adopted the 'Colombo declaration' which calls for strengthening delivery of services for these diseases at the primary health care level.
