Trinamool to hit streets to counter JU students' protests

Kolkata, Sep 22 (IBNS): With late night police crackdown on agitating Jadavpur University (JU) students and the subsequent massive rally last week, West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress’ students arm – Trinamool Chatra Parishad – will hit the streets on Monday to protest the incident.

Kolkata, Sept 16 (IBNS): Despite its setback in the rest of the country, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal basked in rare victory celebrations on Tuesday for opening its account in the state Assembly after 15 long years, following the historic win in Basirhat South constituency by-poll, to which the party said they were blessed by the people of Bengal to emerge as the main opposition in the state.
