Jayalalithaa thanks Modi for keeping states out of NEET for a year

Chennai, May 25 (IBNS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for keeping states out of the purview of the common medical entrance test ( NEET) for a year and urged him to make it permanent, reports said.

New Delhi, May 24 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday agreed and signed off on the central government's decision to postpone NEET exam for the states as of now, thus bypassing a Supreme Court verdict pertaining to the same, where the apex court made it mandatory for aspiring medical students to undergo the exams, according to reports.
