Jaitley presents budget focusing on rural sector, big sop for individual tax payers

New Delhi, Feb 1 (IBNS) Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the General Budget 2017-18 in Parliament on Wednesday with a focus on rural sector and infrastructure, while offering a significant tax break to individuals in the Rs 2.5 to 5 lakh slab, and making a strong defence of the controversial demonetisation move as a propeller of higher GDP in future.
