Bihar lightning: 10 killed, Nitish announces compensation

Patna/UNI: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed deep shock over the deaths of ten people in lightning in seven districts of Bihar and announced compensation of Rs 4 lakhs each to family members of those killed in the incident.

Patna/UNI: Altogether 16 people lost their lives and ten others sustained serious burn injuries when lightning struck them in different districts of Bihar on Tuesday. As per reports received, three people were killed in Patna, two each in Jehanabad, Katihar and Sitamarhi and one each in Nalanda, Banka, Jamui, Arwal, Sheikhpura, Gaya and Samastipur districts.
