CBI initiates probe into Maharashtra 'Bitcoin scam' allegedly linked to Supriya Sule, issues summons

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated a probe and summoned an employee of an auditing firm in connection with the multi-crore bitcoin scam in which senior Maharashtra politicians Supriya Sule and Nana Patole have been accused of involvement by a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, media reports said.

Mumbai/IBNS: Ahead of the crucial Maharashtra polls, a retired police officer, Ravindranath Patil, has accused Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule and state Congress chief Nana Patole of being involved in a 2018 fraud case related to cryptocurrency. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was quick to pick up the issue and said the opposition has been "exposed".

New Delhi/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached actress Shilpa Shetty's businessman husband Raj Kundra's properties worth Rs. 97.79 crore in connection with the Bitcoin scam probe, media reports said.
