Karnataka agrees to release some water from Cauvery to Tamil Nadu

New Delhi/Bengaluru, Oct 3 (IBNS): Coming under pressure from the Supreme Court, Karnataka has finally said that it will release some water from the river Cauvery to neighbouring Tamil Nadu on Monday night, media reports said.

Bengaluru/New Delhi, Sep 21 (IBNS): The Karnataka Government is holding a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to decide on the Supreme Court's order to the state to release 6000 cusecs of water from the Cauvery river daily to Tamil Nadu between Sep 21 and 27, according to media reports.
